Corporate work

Bowsprit Yachting has considerable experience of Corporate Charters. Whether for a day out afloat, or for longer events, we can provide excellent facilities for team building or management training.

We believe that the process of learning to sail a yacht as a group, in itself delivers fundamental benefits in terms of team building:

Working a yacht requires full involvement and commitment from the whole crew.

Everything is shared in a real life situation that is unfamiliar for most participants.

The acquisition of knowledge and skills must be fast and accurate

There is real responsibility for the safety and effectiveness of other members of the team.

If there is a need to introduce competition, a second yacht can be made available.

And it is fun - in other words, an excellent environment for learning.

Professional facilitation can be provided with prior consultation.

Tuition

Bowsprit Yachting, with our sister company Scotsail, offers Royal Yachting Association tuition courses.

These courses can be tailored to suit your needs, whatever level of sailing you have in mind. They range from the base level of Competent Crew right up to preparation for the Yachtmaster Offshore qualification.

Fully qualified instructors give tuition so you will always be in safe hands.

Courses have a maximum ratio of five students to one instructor, and are structured to be relaxed and enjoyable, while fully covering the necessary material and skills.

RYA Courses vary in length from two to five days, depending on the level chosen, and Certificates are issued upon successful completion. Success opens the door to more adventurous sailing holidays, perhaps overseas, with much greater confidence.
